Make sure that you can still open and close the meter lid once you strap your WS to your water meter, as shown in the pictures below. No matter how you strap the device to the meter, it needs to fit snugly to the side of the meter (so that it won't move) and parallel to the pipe running through the meter. If you can't stretch the band enough to get it around your meter, you may need to use the second strap (included) to fasten each side of the device around the piping.
